Today's card is easy to make. It won't take you long to make this card for the one you love and letting them know they bring out the best in you. All papers used are from our Chocolate Hearts collection.

Valentine's Day will be here soon. The next few days we will post a Valentine card or project for you to use as inspiration to create a Valentine of your own. The papers used for this card is from our Chocolate Hearts paper line.

Happy New Year

To start the New Year we have created a quick calendar project that you can duplicate.
Start your project with a 12" x 12" piece of cream colored cardstock. Fold the cardstock in half. Keep the creased edge along the top.

To decorated the project, three sheets of cardstock and one sheet of the frames from the Country Roads paper collection was used to decorate the folded cream cardstock. I will add family photos to my project later.

This fun 2012 calendar paper from Pinecone Press is used to add the months and the icons. For the months cut out a 2" square and center it with temporay adhesive onto the month and cut around to make each month a 2" square to fit the project better. Place months onto project as shown in photos. Center a ruler along the bottom edge of the project and mark at 4" and 8". Punch a hole for the ribbon to go through. Insert the ribbon and space the project apart so it can stand on a table, then tie ribbon into a bow. You will see three months on each side. For the next six months just undo the ribbon, fold project in half the other way and reinsert the ribbon. You could take a family photo Jan., April, July and October and add to your project. A great way to see the changes throughout the year. Especially with growing kids. Click the links above to place an order for your paper to complete your project. Enjoy!

Pop Dot Poinsettia

Create this Pop Dot Poinsettia as shown in the Simple Stories - Card Kit.

Supplies:
• A sheet of red print paper from the Simple Stories "25 Days of Christmas" 6"x6" pad or red cardstock.
• Snowflake paper from the 6"x6" pad or cream cardstock
• Pop dots
• Adhesive
*Optional chalk or ink

Step 1: Trace 2 poinsettias template onto the printed red paper or red cardstock and cut out.

Step 2: Set one of the patterns aside. Cut the other flower pattern into petals as shown. Optional: Ink or chalk the edges of the petals.

Step 3: Cut out a snowflake from the snowflake paper or cut out a 3/4" circle from the cream cardstock. Place adhesive on the back of the circle. Adhere a 1/4 of the flower to the circle. Layer and adhere the remaining petals onto the circle.

Step 4: Arrange and adhere the petal piece on top of the solid flower pattern with pop dots.

Optional: Ink or chalk the edges of the solid flower pattern before adhering the petal piece.

Step 5: Adhere the poinsettia onto a card with pop dots.

Recipe Cards

Create recipe cards by printing out the recipe card template. Embellish the cards by cutting patterned paper to 1/2” x 5” and adhering it to the top of the card. Add stickles and bling to cards.

Jack -O- Lantern Card

Finished Card Size: 6"w x 5 1/2" h

Supplies
• 12"x12" Toil and Trouble paper
• Brown Cardstock
• Black Cardstock
• 1 Large Googly Eye
• 1 Small Googly Eye
• Black Pen
• Pop dots or squares
• Adhesive
• Brown Chalk

Step 1: Cut the "Toil and Trouble" (orange dot side) to 12”w x 5 ½”h. Fold to measure 6”w x 5 ½”h.

Step 2: Trace the Pumpkin Template's pumpkin base onto folded cardstock. Cut out the shape. Chalk the edges.
Note: To print the Pumpkin Template go to the FILE tab (underneath the GoogleDocs logo) and click PRINT (PDF).

Step 3: Trace the stem onto a piece of brown cardstock. Cut out and adhere to the top center of the pumpkin.

Step 4: Trace and cut out the pumpkin center onto the orange dot paper. Chalk the edges.

Step 5: Trace and cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth onto a piece of black cardstock. Cut out the shapes and adhere to the pumpkin center.

Step 6: Adhere the large googly eyes to the eyes.

Step 7: Adhere center to the card front with pop dots.

Step 8: Outline pumpkin, face, and stem with a black pen.
